A very unusual and highly decorative set of vintage Volkswagen display plaques, most likely produced for dealership, showroom or promotional use during the 1960s–1970s (color names are from 1959).
These are NOT modern reproduction garage signs. The pieces have clear age, beautiful period character and a much more solid/heavy construction than typical later decorative items. In real life they display extremely well and have a strong authentic vintage appearance.
The set includes several different Volkswagen-themed plaques with classic VW graphics and logos. Perfect for:
- Volkswagen collectors
- vintage automobilia collections
- garage/lounge display
- showroom decoration
- air-cooled VW enthusiasts
The plaques are made from thick material and have genuine age-related patina and wear consistent with old display items.
Because objects like these rarely appear on the market, exact origin is difficult to document, but they are clearly older period pieces and not newly made reproductions.
About 20×30 cm, 0.5cm thick in very high quality. With gold painted borders, rounded corners and green filt underneath. Equally nice on the wall as under a plate.
